What we do

Four things, done properly.

We inspect chimneys, we clean them, we repair the masonry, and we cap them so the weather stays out. That is the whole business.

OUR PROMISE

$49 means $49.

You have probably read that a cheap chimney offer is bait, and that the number changes once the technician is standing in your living room. That happens, and it is a fair thing to be wary of.

So here is our commitment in plain language. The price you booked is the price you pay for the inspection or the cleaning. Our technician does not arrive and rewrite it. If we find something that genuinely needs repair, you get photographs of the problem and a written price, and you are free to say no, think about it, or get two other quotes. Nobody will push you.

If your chimney is fine, our report will say so and we will go home. That is a normal outcome.

Chimney Inspection

A real inspection, a camera in the flue, and photographs of whatever we find. Forty-nine dollars, and the number does not change when the technician gets there.

$49 — or free with any cleaning

Chimney Cleaning & Sweeping

Ninety-nine dollars for a full sweep and the inspection together. Drop cloths down, HEPA vacuum running, and your floors the way we found them.

$99 — full cleaning, inspection included free

Chimney Repair

Repointing, crown rebuilds, liners and flashing. Every repair starts with photographs of the problem and a written price, and you are free to say no.

Starts with the $49 inspection

Chimney Cap & Crown

The cheapest repair on a chimney, and the one that prevents the expensive ones. A cap keeps water, animals and embers where they belong.

Fireplace & Safety

Two real risks, explained without the scare tactics: a chimney fire and carbon monoxide. Here is what actually causes each one and what to check before your first fire.

Autumn is the busy stretch. Most people in Essex and Morris book in the two weeks after the first genuinely cold night, so times go quickly from late September.

Common questions

Straight answers

Is the $49 inspection really $49?

Yes. It is a flat price for the inspection visit and it does not change when the technician arrives. If we find repairs you need, we photograph them and give you a written price you are free to decline.

What is included in the $99?

A full chimney sweep — brushing the entire flue, cleaning the smoke shelf, smoke chamber and firebox, with HEPA containment — plus the complete inspection, which is free when you book a cleaning. You get a written report with before and after photographs.

How long does it take?

An inspection on a typical single-flue house is about forty-five minutes to an hour. An inspection plus a full cleaning is usually ninety minutes to two hours depending on the condition of the flue and roof access.

How often should a chimney be cleaned?

Once a year for any chimney in regular use. If you heat with wood as a main heat source, you may need it more than once a season, and we will show you the photographs that support that recommendation rather than just asserting it.

Do you offer same-day service?

Often, yes, particularly if you call before noon. Autumn is our busiest stretch because most people book before the first cold week, so the earlier in the season you call the more choice of times you have.

What areas do you cover?

Our core area is Essex, Morris and Passaic counties. We also cover Union, Somerset, Bergen, Middlesex and Monmouth. If you are just outside that, call and ask — we will give you a straight answer about whether we can get to you.
